One of my favorite places in
Florence! Le Murate! It is really great not so much for the aperitivo,
but because of all cultural events happening there. It dates back to
1300-ies when it was a convent, then a prison and now we can go
there and have some fun! So, the aperitivo is 8 EUR, with many types of
pasta, couscous, veggies, bruschetti and few types of salsa, sandwiches, small
pizzas… You can have all kinds of cocktails, wine, draft beer (doppio
malto/double malt, too mmmm).
Then you can join some concerts in
the hall next to the bar, readings or book presentations, watching football
matches or old movies, a lot of them often with subtitles (which is rare
for Italy!!!!), workshops, exhibitions, festivals and so on… And
all these events are free! Yes, they are! And surely you will find very
interesting people hanging around there! So, don’t miss it!!
